Live Plant Shipping & Delivery
How and when do you ship live aquatic pond plants?
To ensure maximum freshness and prevent plants from sitting in unheated carrier warehouses over weekends, we dispatch live plant packages exclusively Monday through Wednesday.
Plants are harvested fresh, carefully inspected, and protected with specialized moisture-barrier packaging to preserve hydration during transit.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Once shipped via expedited carrier, delivery typically takes 3–5 business days depending on your geographical location. You will receive an automated tracking link via email as soon as your label is generated.
What is your 72-Hour Dead on Arrival (DOA) Guarantee?
We guarantee that your plants will arrive alive and healthy. If your order arrives severely damaged or frozen due to carrier delays:
We will promptly issue a free replacement shipment or full store credit.
Do you ship during cold winter months or summer heat?
Yes. We actively monitor weather forecasts along your parcel's route. During cold snaps or high summer temperatures, we pack orders using insulated thermal wrapping and temperature-moderating packs.
Planting & Pond Care
My plants look slightly bent or shed a leaf upon opening—are they dead?
Not at all! This is normal transit stress. Being enclosed in a dark transit container causes plants to conserve moisture and temporarily shed outer leaves.
Once rinsed and placed in your pond with sunlight and clean water, the root system will establish and produce vigorous new foliage within 3 to 5 days.
How do I plant Jungle Vallisneria in my pond?
Jungle Vallisneria is a heavy root feeder. Anchor the roots directly into your pond substrate or in an aquatic mesh planting basket with aquatic soil/gravel.
Do live pond plants help eliminate green water and algae?
Yes! Live plants are nature’s most effective biological filter. They rapidly absorb dissolved ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates that algae need to proliferate.
Additionally, floating plants (like Water Lettuce and Water Hyacinth) and lily pads shade the water surface, blocking direct sunlight and keeping pond water naturally clear.
Fish, Wildlife & Water Safety
Are your plants safe for Koi, Goldfish, and Pond Turtles?
100% Yes. All our plants are completely free of toxic pesticides, chemical treatments, and harsh dips. They provide natural cover, shade, and dissolved oxygen for fish and wildlife.
Do I need to condition my tap water before adding plants?
Yes. Municipal tap water contains chlorine and chloramines designed to kill organic matter. We strongly recommend adding a standard pond water dechlorinator to protect your plant cells and fish gills when topping off or filling your water garden.
Orders, Cancellations & Guarantee
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
Orders may be canceled or updated free of charge any time prior to physical fulfillment. Please contact us at support@livepondplants.com immediately with your order number. Once packages have entered carrier transit, they cannot be canceled.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, and encrypted mobile checkouts. All transactions are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption.
